Questions buyers ask
Can foreigners buy property in Saudi Arabia?
Yes. The Law of Real Estate Ownership by Non-Saudis is in force since 21 January 2026 and allows ownership in designated zones approved by the Council of Ministers.
Where exactly can I buy?
In designated zones such as KAFD, Diriyah, New Murabba, Qiddiya, King Salman Park, SEDRA and Sports Boulevard in Riyadh, and selected areas of Jeddah. Makkah and Madinah have a separate regime.
How are payments protected?
Off-plan sales require a Wafi licence and an escrow account; the booking fee is capped at 5% of the price.
Can I get residency through property?
The Premium Residency programme accepts residential property from SAR 4 million (without a mortgage) and covers the family.
